Kunstflug in Deutschland vom Einsteiger bis zum Experten.

Ab der Saison 2020 ändert sich einiges im vorbildgetreuen Modellkunstflug in Deutschland, zumindest was die Organisation angeht. Aus den beiden Kunstflugklassen European Acro Cup (seit über 30 Jahren die europäische Spitzenklasse) und der nationalen Klasse F3A-X wird das neue Referat Akro IMAC Deutschland.

Geflogen wird weiterhin mit Nachbauten von manntragenden Kunstflugzeugen, wie Extra, Sukhoi oder Yak mit einer Mindestspannweite von 2 Metern und einem maximalen Gewicht von 25kg.

Egal ob Verbrenner oder Elektro, Eindecker oder Doppeldecker. Untersagt sind jedoch alle Formen elektronischer Hilfsmittel, denn hier zählt nur der Pilot.

Dabei gibt es jedes Jahr sowohl mehrere nationale Wettbewerbe als auch einen internationalen Wettbewerb in Deutschland (Teil des IMAC EUROCUPS), bei denen die Piloten in den Klassen Sportsman, Intermediate, Advanced, Unlimited und Freestyle ihr Können messen.
